Following last night's storm, Caberston (Golfie) and Cairn Hill Trails are currently deemed unsafe to ride.
There are a large number of trees blocking, and more dangerous, hung up over the trails. Access up to the trails is obstructed by more wind-blown trees. This also limits access for emergency services.
We have teams heading out to conduct a thorough inspection on Sunday (cancelled due to the snow), Monday and Wednesday and will update the Hills' statuses then. Most likely, this will be a short list of the few trails that are still rideable!
The damage has impacted most trails across the Tweed Valley including the DH Trails at Innerleithen and Glentress too.
