The Scottish Outdoor Access Code is based around responsible access.

In simple terms:

  1. Prepare - Ensure you have everything you need and back up plans to fall back on i.e. Be responsible for your own actions
  2. Share - Be considerate and do not be a nuisance to others i.e. Respect the interests of others
  3. Care - Leave no trace/do not disturb livestock i.e. Care for the environment
